Here You Are is a body of work that explores my journey with the stages of grief, particularly the last stage, acceptance. It focuses on the loss of my beloved uncle and the relationship that I, my family, and our homes have with him. In the summer of 2019, my uncle unexpectedly passed away from a brain aneurysm which sent his body into cardiac arrest while driving on the highway. Since my beloved uncle’s loss, my family, our lives, and our homes have never been the same.
