This project represents the transition my relationship has taken during the COVID -19 pandemic. Over the course of several months there has been a fluctuation of lockdowns that have prevented us from being able to visit people and participate in social activities. During the lockdowns, I photographed the mundane aspects of everyday life within my relationship, as my my partner and I isolated ourselves from the world. In choosing to photograph with film, I captured the everyday moments which highlight the simplicity and lack of romanticism in having to be stuck at home. I was able to depict both the hardships and the moments of comfort, as my partner and I learn to adjust to the new norm, as we deal with the difficulties that come with learning how to communicate, and deal with a lack of social life and personal space.
